University of HKBP Nommensen Medan  (UHN) and Prolab engineering from the Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS) from the City of Prague or Prague Czech Republic on Wednesday 16 April 2025 successfully signed an MOU or Joint Memorandum of Understanding at the UHN Campus.   UHN was represented by Rector Dr. Richard A.M Napitupulu ST.,MT.  and CULS represented by Prof. David Herak, Ph.D as Vice-Dean for International Relations.

CULS is one of the leading universities in Europe in the field of agricultural technology which includes computerization, robotic and drone technology in the agricultural sector welcoming Community 5.0 (Society 5.0) in the field of smart agricultural technology. (Smart farming). CULS has collaborated with various universities throughout the world, especially in the field of agricultural technology (Off farming).
The areas of collaboration include the Tridharma of Higher Education (Education, Research and Community Service), where lecturers and students from UHN can conduct research at CULS and carry out lecturer and student exchanges.

After the MOU was signed, the activity continued with a scientific discussion (Round table) with presentations from UHN Faculty of Engineering lecturers and Prof. David Herak, Ph.D and two Postgraduate (S2) students from the USU Faculty of Engineering under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Himsar Ambarita, Ph, D. continued with questions and answers.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by WR2, WR 4 and the Dean of FT, heads of mechanical Engineering, electrical Engineering and  Civil Engineering as well as lecturers and students from Faculty of Engineering UHN and also three students from university of north sumatera they are Rizal, Wando, Heri.
